CHANNEL:The Spiritual Care Network

Our offering includes created by the Healthcare Chaplaincy Network TV. It is a series of 30- to 60-minute long programs that encompass myriad spiritual care topics applicable to patients and residents in health care and residential settings, and other audiences. Conceptually it addresses three overarching themes: information, inspiration and comfort. The programs feature interviews with board-certified health care chaplains, other experts, and former and current patients and caregivers, who share stories related to the receipt of and/or need for spiritual care. Other videos offer prayers from various religions and palliative care programs.

Research studies show that the majority of Americans say that spirituality, in some form, should be an important consideration in their health care. “Many more inpatients desire conversations about religion/ spirituality than have them”. Source: BMC Palliative Care, 2012
