Bed Top Yoga by Carol Dickman

A beginner’s program of safe simple stretches, breathing exercises, yoga postures and a relaxation – all done lying down on the back. Helps patients relax, renew, reduce stress, increase flexibility and feel better. Well-suited for anyone wanting gentle, slow exercise because of illness, seniors, the physically challenged and the blind. Excellent, too, for cardiac and cancer patients and may help with insomnia. Seated Yoga by Carol Dickman

A beginner’s program all done sitting down in a chair. Safe simple stretches, breathing exercises, yoga postures and a relaxation, easily followed and precisely instructed. Relax, renew, reduce stress, increase flexibility, feel better. For use in the hospital or nursing care setting when patients are able to sit in a chair and slow, gentle exercise is recommended. Benefits are for many, including those with arthritis, cancer, diabetes and cardiac concerns. (43 minutes.)
